What a ride!!
Well, the Tribe's season has official come to a close. What an exciting few weeks it's been! I won't say I'm entirely disappointed. It'll be nice to put an "end" to this season of work... and start looking toward next season. However, I definitely would have enjoyed the ride in the post-season.
But, as we say each season.... "there's always next year"! :-)
Still nothing "new" at work with my department of one situation, although I finally had my evaluation with Bobby and it went VERY well. (I'm keeping my fingers crossed that his recommendation is approved. More details to come... soon, I hope!)
The new challenge at work is to complete CIC's 2006 budget by October 14. I'm definitely excited about putting together the budget and coming up with new and exciting ways to improve upon our existing events and create new streams of revenue. This will be an awesome opportunity for me!
Boating season, unfortunately, is winding down. I actually did more boating this year than I originally thought I'd do. For the 2006 season, we're moving the boat to Dock of the Bay Marina in Sandusky. It's a beautiful marina!!! The boat has been there for the past few weekends; however, I haven't been up much. (This past weekend, I had a 4-day weekend!!! I went to Y-Town to spend time with mom, dad and grandma. I enjoyed the trip very much!) So, I'm looking forward to spending some time there this weekend.
Bob & I have become quite involved with the Berea Power Squadron. (Above is a photo of us at the Power Squadron's Group Night @ the Indians game set-up by yours truly!) Bob's helping with a few Safe Boating classes and I've been talked into taking on the role as coordinator of the weekly Boat Smart classes at Dick's Sporting Goods. (If you ever want to learn about safe boating, come to Dick's at the Great Northern Mall on a Monday night at 7pm to take the free classes!) The Berea Power Squadron is a great group and Bob & I have definitely been enjoying getting to know the members better and getting more involved.
