Hurricane Katrina

This has been an emotional week... constantly watching the TV news coverage or listening to the radio reports going to and from work about the hurricane... the devastation is unbelievable!

Still no word about The Rock Boat cruise. Obviously, we aren't leaving from NOLA. I'd almost rather have them cancel the whole cruise. It's going to be "weird" to go on the cruise, knowing we should have left from NOLA and thinking about the reason why we didn't. But, that's just my opinion. Reading the message board, people are still looking forward to the cruise.

The Indians will be announcing tomorrow that the organization intends to raise $150,000 for the American Red Cross Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund through contributions from the players, front office staff and the fans. JC and I were given "ownership" of the project at 2:30pm on Wednesday by Dennis (Executive VP) and we worked out the details by 7:30pm last night..... and we continued to work on it today. It will be awesome if we can raise more than our projected amount.

Bob and I are headed to the boat this weekend. We're going to the Anchor Out with the Berea Power Squadron on Saturday. It should be fun! :-)
