Changes...
It's been awhile since I've posted. (I love this photo! I'm not sure why I felt the need to post it... but it's funny since Zelie and "The Little One" "HATE" each other and they're "hiding" in each other's cages. I guess you had to be there... LOL!)
Lots has been going on at home and at work... as usual. First at home... Bob and I have been trying to enjoy the final weekends at the boat. This Monday (Oct. 24), the boat comes out of the water! :-( It was a really great summer. Lots of warm weather and sunshine... and I was able to enjoy the boat a lot more than I thought I would be.
We've also been getting more and more involved with the Berea Power Squadron. I'm now the Project Manager for the Boat Smart classes held at Dick's Sporting Goods in North Olmsted every Monday night. Bob's helping out with the Thursday night classes at the Strongsville Library. We went to a dinner last night with the group. It was a Jamboree theme and everyone dressed in cowboy outfits. I would've had a better time had I not had a bad day at work earlier. (More to come on that...)
My 10-year High School reunion is coming up on Friday, November 25! I'm actually excited about going. I found out my good friend, Jodi, will be attending. I haven't seen her in years.
And... I almost forgot. I'm going to Walt Disney World!!!!!!!! I can't wait!!! I'll be representing the community relations/charities departments for the Indians at the annual MLB Industry Meetings. There will be 22 people from the Indians attening the meetings, including my new boss! This is going to be a wonderful opportunity for me to interact with various people in the company, as well as meet my counterparts at the other MLB teams! We're staying at the Disney Yacht Club (which is GORGEOUS!!!) and we're having an event at EPCOT!! So excited!!!
Speaking of work... developing news... I have a new boss! The community relations and charities departments will now be reporting to a different VP. No more reporting to BD. We had a meeting today and were told of the new department structure. Of course, as with any change it's going to take some getting used to ... but after thinking about the situation for the past 24 hours, I believe that this is definitely going to be a positive opportunity for me. I just need to keep an open mind, stay positive and be confident in my abilities!
