Blog Problem

Well, I posted yesterday and when I logged in today, my post wasn't there. So, I reposted it because it was showing as a saved draft. Now it looks like I posted the day before Thanksgiving instead of the day after. Strange.........

IF you were able to read my Thanksgiving Blog yesterday and posted a comment... you'll need to post again.

Technology is crazy sometimes....

Enjoy the day! :-)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

I want to wish all my family and friends a very Happy Thanksgiving... one day late! :-) Bob and I cooked Turkey Day dinner for our families yesterday. And, it turned out wonderful!!! Bob decided that he wanted to try deep frying a turkey, so he bought a fryer. I wasn't sure how it would turn out, so I made a traditional turkey. Both were quite yummy!!!

For those of you who know me, cooking isn't my specialty! So, cooking Turkey Day dinner was quite the experience. I've done it once before, so it wasn't completely foreign. I was inspired and watched the Food Network for about 6 hours a couple weeks ago. And, I got some YUMMY recipes from Rachel Ray!

Here was the menu:
- Sangria Cranberry Sauce (I surprised myself with how well it turned out!)
- Bourbon Pecan Mashed Sweet Potatoes (YUMMY!! -- nothing like adding alcohol to food)
- Harvest Muffin Stuffin' (with Pumpkin Muffins, zucchini and apples)
- Orange Cranberry Stuffing (with orange cranberry muffins)
- Mashed Potatoes
- Chestnuts

I think I'm addicted now. Maybe I'll ask Santa for one of Rachel Ray's 30-minute meals cookbooks. :-)

It was wonderful to spend Thanksgiving with my parents, my grandma, my brother and sister-in-law and new niece, Bob's parents... and of course, my wonderful boyfriend, Bob! :-) This has been quite a busy and interesting year.... and it's not over yet.

AND.... since I haven't posted in awhile... and a lot has been going on, I'll catch you up.

First of all... my niece and goddaughter, Sophia Rose, was baptized last Sunday.

Here's a picture of my family --- my parents - the proud grandparents; my brother, Stephen; my sister-in-law, Sarah; and my wonderful boyfriend, Bob. It was a great day! Sophia slept through the whole day. She's such a cutie!

Second, I FINALLY made up my mind and purchased a laptop!!! I got a Toshiba Satellite M115-S3094. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!

It's been so great to sit on the couch and surf the internet. I don't know what I ever did without a laptop. I still need to buy some hardware so that I can connect my old hard drive to the new laptop. I've been without my iTunes for quite awhile. And, I need to get access to my photos so that I can start my annual calendar gift projects.

And in other news......

I received a promotion at work... FINALLY!!!! I've now been promoted to MANAGER. I don't really have any new responsibilities. I've been doing the job of my boss since she left last July as well as my own job. But, now I have a better title and a little extra pay.

Vacation Plans

Bob and I finally decided to head south for Christmas break. We'll be taking a much needed (and deserved) two-week hiatus to the warm, sunny climate of Florida. I've enjoyed the trip so much the past two years. This year, we'll have some extra days to get in some boating, visiting with my cousin Traci and her husband, as well as some new sightseeing. And, MAYBE even a visit to see THE MOUSE himself at Walt Disney World!! :-)
