Buy now or forever hold your peace!

So, I wrote last week about the death of my computer.

Well, I still haven't replaced it. Mostly because I can't make up my mind. I finally decided that I wanted a laptop instead of a desktop. But, that's where the decision-making ended!!!

I never knew there were soooooooooooooooooooooo many laptop options.

14" screen
15.4" screen
512 vs 1 GB RAM
40GB, 60GB, 80GB, 1GB hard drive
Core Duo vs. Celeron M

UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I finally had it narrowed down to two computers on Saturday. And, then I made my decision. I started to complete the online checkout process and the internet connection failed, as it's been doing quite frequently for the past few days. So, I left it and went to the post office. Well, when I came back to it later, the laptops that were on sale were SOLD OUT!!! UGH!!!

So, I've spent the past hour researching the internet and I've narrowed down my choices. I'm waiting for Bob to return to ask his opinion. (He's been a trooper through all of this! I'm sure I'm a frustrating person to deal with because of my inability to make a decision. LOL!)

I hope the next time I write that I'm the proud owner of a new laptop! :-)

Computer Problem!

So, my computer died.

The hard drive is ok. But, it will no longer turn on.

Ugh!

I've been shopping for a new computer for the past two days.

I'm quite confused.

Do I get another desktop or a laptop?

I'm leaning towards a laptop... but there are too many choices!!!!!! Although, I found a really nice one at Compusa tonight.

But, we'll see.............. stay tuned!!!

No new photos of my niece, Sophia, due to my technology difficulties. She's such a cutie!! And, I have some really cute photos to share.

Hopefully, I'll be able to get my computer up and running soon. And if not, hopefully I'll make a decision soon. (Although, those of you who know me... know that I don't make decisions very easily! But, I need to figure something out soon or Bob's going to go crazy because I'm using his computer.)

Back to my computer search........ :-)

I'm an AUNT!!!!!

Meet Sophia Rose... born Sunday, October 8, 2006 @ 9:59am. She weighed in at 8lbs 4oz and 19 inches long.

What an exciting day!!!!

I received a call from my brother at 5:30am that Sarah was at the hospital. I told him that I really wanted to be at the hospital when Sarah delivered. They decided not to find out the sex of the baby... and I thought it would be extra exciting for him to come out into the waiting room and announce... "It's a....!!"

So, I arrived at the hospital around 6:30am. Stephen kept coming out to the waiting room to give me updates. I was so proud of him! He was calm... which I thought he'd be freaking out. My parents weren't sure that they were going to make it up in time to be there when he came out to tell us Sarah had the baby.

The majority of the family thought they were having a boy.

Obviously... we were wrong!

My parents arrived shortly after 10am... and Stephen came out after 11am and said...

IT'S A GIRL!!!!!

We were all surprised!!! I'm so happy that my parents were there for the big announcement. It's their first grandchild and they're so excited. We were able to go back and see Sarah and the baby for a few moments.

Then... we left the hospital and did what any new grandma would do... we went SHOPPING!! Since they waited to find out the sex of the baby, all the colors that we bought were "neutral" colors. My mom said, "It's a girl and she has to have PINK!"

So, we went and bought some very cute pink outfits.

We went back to the hospital around dinnertime and brought my grandma with us since she wasn't there in the morning.

Sophia Rose was in the room with S&S.

Funny... now it's S&S&S... or S3??? :-)

We spent about an hour with them and took some more photos. (Mom said the photos we took in the morning weren't very good since you couldn't see the baby's face. STAY TUNED FOR A SOPHIA ROSE WEBSITE.......)

It's an exhausting day... but an incredibly exciting one! :-) I'm so happy that mom and baby are doing well.

And....... Stephen and Sarah asked me to be the godmother!! :-) I'm excited about that too!!!!!!!

I'm sure you'll be seeing a lot of photos of Sophia Rose in the coming weeks, months and years. :-)

Still no baby....

Just got back from dinner with Stephen & Sarah (and my unborn niece or nephew).

Poor Sarah! Her official due date is Monday, October 9... but, the doctor has been telling her for the past two weeks that it'll be "any day now".

Well... she's READY!!

BUT... the baby isn't!!!

Although... according to my 92-year-old grandma, the baby will come at 11pm tonight! I guess there's some old wives tale that says the baby will come after the 9th full moon. Well, tonight's the 9th full moon!

So... we'll see what happens! :-)

It was a nice night. S&S and I went to the Macaroni Grill (yummy!!!) and then wandered around the mall. (Another old wives tale is that if you walk a lot it'll help the baby to come out. I'm not so sure about these tales...)
