Long lost blog...

I haven't been very good at posting this summer. (except for changing my profile photo to one of my cute boyfriend, Bob, & I!)

I was completely and totally INSANE with work for the months of June and July with Party in the Park and the Golf Outing (whoever planned two ENORMOUS events slated to net half of the annual budget on back-to-back days should be FIRED.... ummmm.... LOL!).

BUT... my incredibly sweet and wonderful boyfriend bought me a new car stereo and surprised me with it when I returned home from the golf outing. He felt bad that I had been working 12+ hour days. It's a SWEET stereo! It makes my speakers sound sooooooooooooo much better. AND, the best part... my iPod connects directly and I can control the iPod with the stereo controls. MUCH FUN!!!

Anyway... both events were a success! The golf outing being the BIGGER success raising DOUBLE what we made last year. I was EXTREMELY proud since I saw the entire event through from budget creation to the final RAIN DROP fell that night!

Yes, I DID say RAIN! It poured. Actually, poured isn't the correct term!! It was a TROPICAL STORM in Lake County! Yes, right here in Northern Ohio. President Bush even visited the flood damaged area a few days after the golf outing.

LOL!! (I can laugh now... but, the day of the event... I wasn't laughing!)

So, after July was over... I moved on to the fun stuff! In the sales contest this year, I won a Party Suite. Here are some photos!

My brother, Stephen, and sister-in-law, Sarah, and baby-to-be! She's due October 9 and we're all excited about it! (above)

My bestest chicas -- Michell & Christine! (above)

My bestest friends from work -- Melissa & Crystal!! They keep me sane. And, they're also my walking buddies. We keep each other motivated to go out and exercise and enjoy the weather! (above)

The BEST part of the sales contest was winning a suite to treat my family and Bob's family. My 92-year-old grandma attended her FIRST EVER baseball game! It was AWESOME to share that experience with her and my mom!! :-)

So....... now it's back to the "daily grind" at work. I'm finally begining to feel like life is getting "back to normal" (whatever that might mean). We're in the middle of the review process and budgets will start in mid-September. Fun stuff! :-)

I was accepted into the YWCA Leadership Boot Camp program which I'm VERY EXCITED about attending! My first class is September 15. I think this is a great program and I'm going to meet many new and interesting people!

Next week Bob & I are off on a week-long boat trip. It actually starts this Friday at Kelley's Island for the weekend with the Berea Power Squadron. I'm the Cruise Director, so I have to be there! :-) Then, we'll leave EARLY Sunday morning and head to Lexington, Michigan for two nights. We went there two years ago on our first boat trip together. Looking forward to a Wimpie Burger @ Wimpie's! I can't find a website... but, I'll be sure to take photos and post them! :-) Then, we'll work our way back to Sandusky by next Friday in time for the Anchor Out overnight in Sandusky Bay on Saturday.

I'm REALLY looking forward to some much needed R&R and to a wonderful vacation with Bob! I'll definitely post all the photos for everyone to see. Hopefully he'll let me drive the boat and I can take more photos like the last time with my hands in a death-grip on the wheel. LOL!

It's late... I'm tired... and I need to get up in the morning for work.

Hopefully it won't be another 6 weeks before I post again. :-)
