Kitties in Boxes

Kitties in Boxes

Recently, we added a few other empty boxes... and one night we decided it would be fun to put each cat in a box. (And for even more fun... I grabbed the camera and took a zillion photos!)

The cats hate being in the same room with each other... so I'm sure you can only imagine what it was like with them in boxes next to each other! Although, they were quite photogenic, except for Nix (first kitty) who refused to look up!

I seriously think Bob & I need to find something else to occupy our time...

Belated - Valentine's Day 2006

Last night, Bob & I celebrated Valentine's Day since we were unable to celebrate on the actual day earlier this week. (We're taking Instructor Development so that we can teach the Public Boating courses for the Berea Power Squadron, and the first class was on Valentine' Day. Can you believe it!?!?!?)

So, we went to dinner at The New York Spaghetti House in downtown. They're famous for their "brown sauce". (Yes, it's really brown!) I've never been there. The food was really good... the service could've been better.

Following dinner, we were supposed to go to the Monster Truck Jam at The Q Arena, but Bob wasn't feeling well, so we went home. (Don't ask about the Monster Truck thing! Long story...)

We stopped at Stephen & Sarah's to borrow my favorite movie, Suicide Kings, on DVD. (I own a VHS copy, but we don't have a VCR in the living room.) I LOVE this movie!! I'm not sure why... but I do! (No, it has nothing to do with suicide!) Bob had never seen it. Unfortunately, he wasn't as impressed with it as I am.

Before we watched the movie, we "tortured" the cats with my flowers...

Nix and Schadling (the Little One) weren't amused!

Neither was Zelie...

And, of course... Bob and I had to take a "self-portrait" photo... My screensaver on my computer is a slideshow of the various photos of Bob & I. The majority are "self-portraits". (Yes, I'm a dork!)

New look!

I've decided to change the look of my Blog. It needed a refresher! I hope you like it! :-)

I love this photo of Bob & I on Sanibel Island during our trip to Florida over Christmas break. You can see the lighthouse in the background.

I LOVE Jewelry Making!

So... I took "Jewelry & Beading I" on Saturday, and now I'm HOOKED!!!!!! Bob's aunt, Michele, has been asking me to take a craft class with her. There really wasn't anything too interesting on the list at JoAnn Fabrics. But, jewelry making stood out and she said that was fine.

We called and registered for the class. I got my supplies list in the mail, and proceeded to Pat Catan's where just about everything in the store is 40% off... and I spent over an hour staring at all the jewelry making supplies!! WOW! I had visited the jewelry aisles a couple times... trying to figure out where to even start. I love jewelry!! Any kind... expensive, cheap... it doesn't matter! So, I was pretty excited about this class!

Bob's mom, Pat, decided to join us for the class. I think I had more fun than they did! We started with a bracelet and then moved on to earrings. It was much easier than I thought it would be! Being the over-achiever that I am... I started on a necklace, but realized that they were packing up their things, so I decided to finish when I got home. Well, I made the necklace, a bracelet AND earrings! I love this!!! :-) I wore them to the Mueller's today because I was so proud of my work! :-) (Unfortunately, I didn't finish my bracelet correctly, and it broke. BUT, I didn't lose any of the beads. I guess I need to work on my technique...)

Good thing I have a lot going on this week, or else I'd be at Pat Catan's again tomorrow buying more beads. This could be quite an addictive hobby for me!! Although... I made two pairs of earrings, two bracelets, and one necklace... and the beads only cost me about $8. PLUS, I have enough leftover for another couple bracelets and/or necklaces. As long as I stay away from the REALLY expensive jewelry parts, I should be ok! :-)

Now, I need to find someone to bead with... and we can exchange beads! :-) LOL!! I'm getting carried away, aren't I????

Bob & Stephanie - Christmas 2005!

This is my favorite photo of Bob & I at Christmas! It's taken with my new digital camera that Bob bought for me!
