LOTS of water!!

Imagine my surprise when I heard Bob calling to me from downstairs at 5:30 AM, asking me to bring him his glasses. (My first thought was... Oh no, he's sleep walking again!)

And then he said... "We have a problem down here. You don't want to come downstairs!"

YIKES!!!!!!!

I could only imagine the worst. I cautiously went down the steps. As I stepped off the last step, my foot landed in a puddle of water on the carpet.

ICK!!!!!!!!

The expansion tank on the hot water tank (whatever that is!) had sprung a leak and all the carpet in the hallway was SOAKED!! Water was gushing out of it when you stepped on it.

So, I spent the next hour and a half running the shop-vac while Bob went to Home Depot when they opened at 6am to buy another expansion tank. (THANK GOODNESS he's handy around the house! Gotta love him!!)

By 7am, the problem was fixed, so we decided to "celebrate" and went to Jennifer's restaurant for breakfast (our favorite breakfast place).

Then, of course, it was off to work for another exciting day at the office. Today I printed 1365 envelopes to go with the 1365 letters that I printed yesterday and then I had the pleasure of folding and stuffing the letters into the envelopes.

And that folks is why they pay me the big bucks! :-) LOL!!

I'm so looking forward to this 3-day weekend. We'll be heading up to Port Clinton after work on Friday and spending 3 nights on the boat. I haven't been there in two weeks, so I'm definitely looking forward to the weekend. I hope the weather is nice on Saturday. We're going to take the boat to the north-side of Kelly's Island and "anchor out" with Jennie and Shawn (who just purchased a boat, so I'm excited to see it in the water)!

And... this is where my Blog site's name comes into play -- Anchor Girl. You see... I am "in charge" of the anchor. I throw the anchor, hold onto the rope for dear life while Bob positions the boat, then I cleat off the anchor and we're all set! (MUCH MUCH easier said than done!) Of course, when we decide to leave, I have to haul the anchor up... which isn't exactly easy.

So, I've been given the endearing nickname of "Anchor Wench"! :-) (My boyfriend loves me, right???)

But seriously... I accept the name and the responsibility proudly! :-) Having never boated before I met Bob in January 2004, I've definitely come a long way. He'll make a boater out of me yet... I'm happy to say! :-)

I'm definitely looking forward to this weekend. It's going to be great! On Monday, we'll be heading to Bob's parents house for their annual 4th of July party and my parents, grandma and S&S (Stephen & Sarah - for those who don't know) will be joining us!

I wish all of you a safe, happy and fun-filled holiday weekend! :-)

Success!

My MK Open House and Silpada Jewelry party on Sunday were a great success! It was fun to see family and friends that I haven't seen in awhile. I know I enjoyed myself and I'm fairly certain that all the ladies who attended had fun too! :-)

Tonight Bob and I went to a "sneak peak" of a new "fast food" restaurant called Roly Poly Sandwiches. They're a chain... so if you have one near you, definitely check them out! I HIGHLY recommend the chicken fajita!! (http://www.rolypolyusa.com/)

Nothing else exciting going on. The "evil" Nix & Little One were ganging up on my poor kitty, Zelie, tonight! He still has a rough time sometimes. But, he's definitely adjusting much better than I thought he'd be.

I'm looking forward to the long weekend at the boat. Hoping to get some "sun time"! I could definitely use it.

The BIG day... My MK Open House & Silpada Jewelry Party

It's Sunday morning and I'm frantically running around the house vacumming and cleaning up. And while I should be getting ready, I'm sitting here instead typing in my Blog. Doh!

Anyway, I'm excited! I have about 14 ladies coming over today for some pampering MK style! :-) (www.marykay.com/shierro) I'm also having a Silpada jewelry party. I LOVE silver jewelry! (www.silpada.com) I hope everyone has lots and lots of fun!

I'm alittle sluggish this morning. After work last night, I went over Susie's house to sit outside, drink beer and eat veggies until 2:30am! Then, when I get home I hear this strange noise coming from our office room so I'm up until almost 3:30am trying to figure out what the noise is. Grrr!! So, with only about 4.5 hours of sleep, I'm off and running this morning.... looking forward to the day.

Resignation

Well... my boss resigned today. Total shocker! She leaves in 3 weeks... with only half of the season's events completed. Therefore, since we're a department of two... it's just me! I'm confident that I can get the things accomplished that we've planned. And I know that my new boss has confidence in my abilities as well... which is VERY good! :-) It's going to be a VERY interesting next couple of months...

The Rock Boat cruise is only 3 months away... I'm going to NEED that vacation by that time!

P.S. Michell and I went to the game tonight and had our famous "chicken tenders basket". The Indians lost... bummer! But, the tenders were YUMMY! :-)

Weight & Measurement Number ONE

Hooray!!! I lost 6 pounds in my first month of going to Curves!!! I'm so excited!!!! Now I'm going out to dinner with my wonderful friend, Michell, to celebrate. Curves is the best!! (Too bad Bob's at "Put-in-Bay Boys' Weekend" so he can't celebrate with me too!)

This is me... and my boyfriend, Bob! :-) Aren't we a cute couple??

My FIRST EVER Blog!

Well... I never would have guessed that I would start my own blog. But, this seems like quite the growing trend these days... so I guess I'm jumping on the bandwagon.

So... where do I start?

I'm Stephanie and I live in Strongsville with my boyfriend, Bob! (Boat Bob, Taco Bob, Boyfriend Bob... he answers to all these names.) We live with our THREE cats!! Yes, I DID say THREE cats! Zelie (the orange furball love of my life) and Little Schadling (affectionately known as "The Little One") and Nix (the Nix-anator or Nixers, as we like to call him). It's a relatively new living arrangement which is working out very well.

I'm going to end my very first Blog so that I can get some sleep. Hope you come back often and leave comments... GOODNIGHT!
